Fefferoni

About Dr Feryl

Dr Feryl is a brilliant scientist and intrepid explorer. She lives in the land of Fefferoni in her crumbling castle. It is a magic castle actually, but that is another story. Dr Feryl’s full name is Ferdilia Frelicious Feryl.

Most of all, Dr Feryl loves to study the lives and habits of her fellow Fefferonians. She is also an obsessive collector of the extraordinary artefacts of the Fefferoni culture.
Last year, quite mysteriously, beautiful illustrations started to blow into the castle’s gigantic gardens. Dr Feryl gathered them up and examined them carefully. To her great excitement, she noticed they were illustrations of the Fefferonians and that the depictions and colours were remarkably accurate.

Upon further examination, Dr Feryl concluded the wind had carried the illustrations from somewhere far far away - even further than the Nannanubba Nebula -and that the person who created them (a Wendy Tyrer - such a silly sounding name!) must be a very careless person indeed. Imagine leaving such precious artefacts to blow around in the wind!

Dr Feryl soon noticed that the illustrations were extremely popular with the patriotic Fefferonians and decided it would be a good thing to distribute these illustrations throughout the land for a small but fair fee.

Most Fefferoni families now own the full collection of illustrated prints and display them proudly (and rather possessively) next to their Frelevisions. There is even a rumour that some illustrations have been purchased and taken away to other lands … but don’t tell the Fefferonians!
